A Personal Message from Liam
It's been a real joy to work with Mark and Ringo.
It's not only an honor to have them add their names and credibility
to my project, but just amazing how natural it all feels. They
remember when the record industry was a different machine and
most importantly, that there were no rules. That's important to
me.
We share a lot of the same qualities when it comes
to process ... mainly ... to have fun. That's what it's all about.
I didn't want to sign with some big label that thinks there is
a cookie-cutter for every situation ... I don't want to be shaped
like all their other cookies. I like to keep things simple ...
work with a handful of people that you like to be with ... and
then it just becomes having a good time with your friends. It's
wonderful.
I was also happy that they understand I have other
facets to my career. They see that my music is just one spoke
on my wheel. Since they, too, have many other endeavors, they
understand if I need to go make a movie, work on a television
show, or direct a music video ... they see it as part of my spectrum
as an artist. I just feel lucky to call them friends.
I'm so excited about future projects with Pumkinhead.
I should also mention Steve Greenberg and Steve Yegelwel at S-Curve
Records, who have supported our collaboration and showed our creativity
the utmost respect. It's great to be releasing material worldwide
and dealing with a group of people that stay real. Living in Hollywood,
I have come to appreciate that quality. I'm so happy to not have
to deal with any of that stuff and just be able to focus on writing
and recording. It's a dream come true.
